I love this first photo I took at the Pope’s favorite place in the fantastic gardens of his summer palace. A small pond filled with lilies and koi, surrounded by ancient Roman ruins. Rumor has it he comes here for private meditation and reflection. It was cool & calming on a scorching hot day! Divine.

Summer truffles may be the easiest to find and the least valuable but hunting for them is a blast! And they are still pretty good to eat especially when they are only an hour out of the ground! #bucketlistexperience ✔️✔️✔️ eat, eat,eat!

Verona….where Shakespeare’s Romeo wooed Juliette yet so much more… the city is more than 2000 years old; there are lots of Roman ruins; the whole town is a UNESCO world heritage site; it has always been rich & strategic (so the buildings are ornate, beautiful and have been bombed a lot by both sides especially in WWII); it was once part of the Venetian Republic (keep an eye out for the Venetian lion). It also has great restaurants, unique shopping and way fewer tourists than Rome or Florence. I’m crazy in love with this place!
