A taste of true European style spa in one of the most beautiful parts of Canada. Sparkling Hill is the pet project of Gernot Langes-Swarovski… of crystal fame. This patriarch of the family fell in love with the beauty of British Columbia realizing it was the perfect setting for the type of spa retreat he loved in Europe. The hotel occupies a stunning hilltop location overlooking the Monaskee Mountains and Lake Okanagan. Views are insane.  Not surprisingly, the décor features crystals. Lots of crystals, more than 3.5 million. They are everywhere: lobby, rooms, spa. I worried they would be a bit tacky, but  they are beautiful and tasteful. The rooms are made for Instagram. They have bathtubs for two in front of the floor to ceiling windows. All rooms are open concept, with glass showers, crystals and hard wood. Deluxe rooms are on the 3^rd floor and have the most spectacular views. But you come here to spa and it is truly spectacular, spanning over 40,000 square feet and offers treatments and rooms I had never imagined. These include a glacial clay wrap, a crystal cranium massage, an anti-aging program, salt steam room and water stepping (a series of pools). The hotel offers fabulous special offers. Sweet Suite: The 3 Penthouse Suites…large, 1200 square feet, with huge views over both the mountains and the lake. They come with fireplaces and in room private saunas.

Favorite Thing: Well, it has to be the Spa…these incredible facilities include a rose steam room, an igloo room, an indoor saltwater pool with underwater music, an outdoor infinity pool and a minus 110-degree cryo cold chamber. Plus every treatment imaginable.

Near By: There is golf and vineyards galore but really you come here to get away from it all. My advice… use this as an opportunity to escape, chill and enjoy spa and nature.
