Verona….where Shakespeare’s Romeo wooed Juliette yet so much more… the city is more than 2000 years old; there are lots of Roman ruins; the whole town is a UNESCO world heritage site; it has always been rich & strategic (so the buildings are ornate, beautiful and have been bombed a lot by both sides especially in WWII); it was once part of the Venetian Republic (keep an eye out for the Venetian lion). It also has great restaurants, unique shopping and way fewer tourists than Rome or Florence. I’m crazy in love with this place!

Today’s office. Villa D’Este! Back in 1565 Cardinal Tolomeo Gaillo tore down an existing convent to built himself an estate. With a garden. It was converted into a hotel in 1873. It has been a favorite of the glitterati ever since… epitomizing la dolce vita. No celebs spotted but tons of beautiful people! @villadestelakecomo

No filter, no retouch, just magic! Lake Como in the evening from the pool deck at @ghtlakecomo … the prices in Como are eye watering during the high season but I can totally understand why. It is incredibly beautiful. That said, I think May or September/October would be a better time to visit. (All the locals tell me Mr Clooney is here… still waiting for a sighting) #toptraveladvice

Anyone who knows me knows how desperately I need solo time… after 10 days of sharing meals with groups (all be it, fabulous people) , having lunch by myself is bliss. Icing on the cake…. The location, food & wine are all spectacular! Are you jealous yet? 😜
