After staying at Borgobrufa I finally ‘get’ European Spa culture…and my life will never be the same. This is the most wonderful way to spend a long weekend, and this is the most wonderful place to spend it (only 15 minutes to Perugia airport). Set on 29 acres of vineyards, the buildings are designed to maximize views, a mix of classic country Italian and futuristic modern. I can’t believe a James Bond movie hasn’t been filmed here. The food is gourmet, the cocktails delicious. The European Spa experience is not about losing weight. It is about feeling incredible. The atmosphere is relaxed. People wear housecoats during the day, casual clothes in the evening. All good, but seriously, you come for the Spa. All 3000 square meters of it. Nordic inspired; swimsuits are discouraged as too restrictive. Towels and housecoats are provided; modesty is maintained. There are more than 50 treatment options. I packed my schedule with massages, private salt bathes, pedicures facials and a wonderful private spa experience where I has a whole series of small pools & rooms to myself. These were all ‘extras’. But I could have easily taken advantage of all the included options of multiple pools, steam and sauna rooms. I left feeling like a new person. Revitalized, refreshed and renewed! A better me.

Sweet Suite: The imperial Emotion Suite with its own spa…for the ultimate in private & schedule free spa-ing. It comes with its own indoor heated pool, infrared sauna & steam, 40 square meter patio with a hydromassage pool & private garden. (That said, I stayed in a Romantic Suite and loved it)
Favorite Thing: Acqua e Fiori Private Spa…having the whole private space with your own pools, sauna, steam and lounging area was divine…the prosecco, canapes, facial and massage was icing on the cake! A heavenly, restorative few hours that passed way too quickly
Near By: Located in the heart of Umbria, Perugia & Assisi are close. But when you are at the Resort you really don’t want to leave.
